Tugas Bahasa Inggris - Laporan Meet The Foreigner

MEET WITH FOREIGNER FROM SPAIN

On Wednesday 8 August 2018 I got the assignment from my English teacher to meet foreigner and talk to him. Then make a report about the task which contains what we are talking about with the tourist along with the photo. That is a heavy task for me.
Actually I was very easy to meet with foreigner around my house because there were so many foreigner visiting Jagir Waterfall that were located behind my house. But I never talked to them, even though they were confused about going home. Sometimes I just smile and answer their greeting "Hi!" with "Hello!" just like that. I never dared to ask their names, where they came from or just took pictures, especially if they were with the tour guide, I was embarrassed. And when you get the task it feels confused and scared. Moreover, when Mrs. Kesy gave the assignment, I was not in class because I had to take the selection for the office administration contest at Airlangga University Surabaya.
On August 22, 2018, Eid al-Adha became a holiday school, I met many foreigner around my house, but I still didn't dare to meet them let alone having to do it myself. Finally I missed dozens of foreigner at the time. On August 25, 2018, after the toeic test at school, Ovi and Rika came to my house intending to meet foreigner. The three of us together go to the waterfall that is behind my house. Upon arrival there was a tourist and his tour guide was enjoying fried bananas in a stall, but no one dared to greet him because he was embarrassed and intended to find other foreigner. So we decided to wait in a cabin until another tourist arrived. But after 30 minutes of waiting there were still no foreigner coming in, we just talked and had selfies with visitors from Jakarta but we don't know whose name because we forgot to ask. After that Ovi and Rika go home and intend to return tomorrow.
The next day on August 26, 2018, my friend Arsita and Sulis came to my home to meet foreigner. At 11 o'clock in the morning they arrived at my house, at that time the weather was cloudy and drizzling which certainly had no foreigner at that time. But still we decided to go down to the waterfall to wait there. Nearly 2 hours we only spend time for taking pictures and just sitting down because there are no foreigner coming. After that we buy fried bananas and eat them in front of the mosque, when we buy fried bananas we see two girl tourists who don't seem too friendly so we don't reprimand her. Then we pray that we can meet foreigner that day. After the prayer, we look towards the waterfall and it turns out that many tourists take pictures of the photos there, thank God. Even on the road we meet with many tourists and I ventured to take pictures with him.

His name was Tyson, he was from Australia, I only had time to ask two things because he was in a hurry, I was afraid to disturb his time.
Then we walk again, and meet two male tourists and a girl tourist who is enjoying fried bananas in a stall. I took a photo with a girl tourist while arsita and sulis took pictures with a male tourist. Initially embarrassed and confused about where to start, afraid of his impression disturbing them, but this is a good opportunity to get three tourists at a time, considering that we have waited a long time, finally I ventured to greet them. The three tourists welcomed us cordially, when I asked 'Can I take a picture with you?' loudly they answered 'Of course'. Then we chat with each of the foreign tourists who have been invited to take pictures

He is named Bellen, originally from Spain. He has been in Indonesia for two weeks and plans to return to his country in September. The first time I talked, I forgot all the questions I had prepared last night, excited, nervous, trembling, and confused about asking more, but luckily he was kind and friendly so I could calm down and look for more questions.
He had just returned from Ijen crater with two of his friends, according to him the ijen crater was very beautiful with its blue fire which only had two in the world namely in Indonesia, namely Banyuwangi and Scotland. The view during the mandaki ijen trip was very beautiful. He really likes to live in Banyuwangi, according to him Banyuwangi is very rich, tourist, cultural and culinary. He tried tasting sego tempong with its spicy flavor, even though he wasn't too hot. He plans to visit the red island to enjoy the waves on the white sand beach.
When asked about the jagir waterfall, according to him is a beautiful waterfall because there are three waterfalls at once in one location, the water is also very clear and cold with the cool air and shady trees around the location, very suitable for visitors who have just come down from ijen. But there are a number of junk scattered so that it disturbs the view a little.
The hour showed 1.30 p.m, I finished the conversation with him because he had to continue his journey to the red island I was afraid of taking too much time. I thank you for the time and arsita and sulis. After that we returned home feeling very happy, finally after waiting a long time and almost desperate, we could meet with the foreign tourists.
